PRIORITY i Related Measures
Key Performance Indicators, if they are to be “key”, must be relatively few in number. However, there are numerous related indicators or measures which support the KPIs and/or provide important supplementary information. It is important to note that this list is preliminary and may change as more input is gathered. Below you will find Related Measures to the KPIs for Priority I, Teaching and Learning.
1. Percentage of first-year and seniors students that report CMU has “…emphasized spending significant amounts of time studying and on academic work”
3. Percentage of students engaged in research, authorship, internships, and student teaching
4. Percentage of newly admitted students in the top 10% of their high school graduating class
5. First year student retention rate
6. Percentage of regular faculty who remain at CMU for more than five years
